Green Triangle Haras

Philosophy & Well being equine

🐎 Our horses, our passion

Our horses and foals are at the heart of our daily lives. Raising a foal is not limited to insemination and birth: it is a commitment of every moment. Gentle handling, attentive care and environmental learning from the first days are as essential as choice of line.

🏡 A place for breeding and listening

Our Haras is a space dedicated to breeding, education, training and care, guided by softness, respect and listening.

🧘‍♂️ Physical and mental balance

Every gesture aims to preserve the physical and mental harmony of our horses, in a serene and soothing environment.

🤝 Dressage through confidence

At home, dressage begins with trust. Time, patience and listening are the foundations of a harmonious future.

🌐 A respectful approach

Let yourself be carried by a philosophy where serenity and attention are present at every stage of horse development.

👶 Reasoned reproduction

We host about 20 horses and foals. Intensive reproduction is not part of our vision. We prefer quality to quantity, taking the time to handle each foal with care and attention.

🌿 Living conditions for their well-being

Our sports horses live in big boxes with direct access to an individual or shared meadow. No horse remains locked: their physical and mental well-being is our priority.

The chickens and their foals evolve in the meadow, with access to shelters, stabulations and hangars. As they approached the bet, they returned every night to one of our two large pulley boxes (6 × 8 m), where they remained five days after birth to allow the foal to straighten properly.

Then, the following mares are gradually placed in the grassy round of Havrincourt, from 30 minutes to 3 hours a day, before being installed in the meadow with access to the hangar to protect against the weather. They are grouped by two to promote games between foals while limiting risks.

🍼 Weaning: an essential step, never precipitated

At the Haras du Triangle Vert, we consider weaning as a fundamental step in the development of the foal, never as a logistical constraint.

Here, foals are not separated from their mothers at 6 months, as is often the case elsewhere. We offer them time to grow up with him for up to 10 months. This prolonged bond with the mother promotes emotional balance, improved natural immunity and more stable behavioural autonomy.

This choice, still rare in modern practices, reflects our commitment to a breeding that respects the natural rhythm of the animal. It requires patience, generous pulleys, and a real awareness of the long-term stakes.

Yes, it has a cost. But this time spent with his mother is part of the price: it is an investment in the health, balance and ability of the foal to become a horse well in his head and body.

Accepting to wait means investing in their past to give them a solid future.

Veterinary and Marshalry follow-up:

🐎 Early setting and regular monitoring

From 3 to 4 weeks, each foal is seen and trimmed by our marshal (CORONA FARRIERS), specialist in locomotion and young horses. Monitoring continues every 4 weeks, or more according to individual needs.

🧪 Reasoned vermifugation

The foals are vermifuged from 2 months, then at 4 and 6 months, and then twice a year. An annual coproscopy between the two vermifuges makes it possible to check the effectiveness of the protocol and adapt it individually if necessary.

💉 Vaccination GTRH
